Family Discount

A $10/month discount per class will be given to families registered for 3 or more classes.

Tuition Payment

Tuition is due on the 1st of every month for that month's lessons. Payments received after the 4th are subject to a 10% late penalty. Payments are made via credit/debit card on an autopay system.

Absolute Beginner Guitar

Students age 10 and up who want to learn to play guitar the fastest way possible using pop songs from today - Taylor Swift to Twenty One Pilots. Students are encouraged to sing and perform at concerts and recitals as a group.

Banjo

Banjo lessons cover the basics of playing the banjo, including fretting and strumming open chords, learning the names of the strings and the notes, and of course learning banjo songs. If you have a favorite banjo song or subject that YOU want to learn, we will teach it to you!

Bass Guitar

In bass guitar lessons you will learn how to outline chords with the bass, play your favorite songs, and learn general music theory. You will also learn about the styles you are interested in, such as slap bass, classic rock, jazz, blues, etc.

Cello

The cello is a great introduction to playing stringed instruments. It is one of the larger stringed instruments and it rests on the ground and is played upright. It is a classical western musical instrument and is great for any age student. At Stomp Music, you will receive a traditional cello education mixed with modern techniques that make it fun and easy.

Drumset

At Stomp Music Studios we have a wide range of Drum Set lessons available. From rock and jazz to funk and blues, you will find the right teacher for you at Stomp Music Studios. Drumset lessons focus on independence of all 4 limbs, wrist technique, keeping steady time, learning fills, learning songs start to finish, reading drum notation, and more.

Guitar

Private Lessons are best for ages 14 and up. Younger ages excel far faster in our PopStar and RockStar group classes where they learn fundamentals to songs they know then practice them with other musicians, have your 8-16 year old take a Free Trial.

Guitar Lessons vary from classical guitar instruction to modern styles such as rock, metal, punk, blues, country, and jazz. We have several teachers that all specialize in different styles. Popular areas of study include sweep picking, learning the neck of the guitar, finger picking, flat picking, alternate picking, chords and scales, reading music on the guitar, learning popular music, Nashville notation, reading chord charts, improvising over blues and jazz standards, and more! Music Production is all about how to arrange and produce music in today's society. You will learn how to create the sounds you want to hear, and blend them into the type of song you want to produce using the most modern technology available. Whether you are interested in rock, hip-hop, country, techno, dubstep, drum and bass, house music, pop music, or singer-songwriter, we will help you bring your songs to life and to completion in the studio.

Music Theory

Music Theory lessons are designed for serious musicians who want to expand their knowledge of theory. They are perfect for the high school musician wanting to audition for music at the University level. Most major colleges and universities require a theory placement exam, and having a good knowledge of theory could earn you college credit. Theory includes scales, chords, nashville/numeral chord notation, keys and key changes, chord tones and altered chords, substitutions, 4 voice counterpoint, and more.

Percussion

Percussion lessons are meant to be a supplement to a school program, whether it is preparing for high school marching band or at the professional level. You will learn how to read percussion music notation, play a variety of tonal and atonal percussion instruments, and the history behind those instruments. In percussion lessons we will focus on snare rudiments and technique as well as learning to read music on xylophone.

Piano

Children 7 and under will benefit most from starting in our My First Music Lessons Class where they can learn fundamentals and basic skills before progressing to private lessons.

Piano Lessons vary from classical formal instruction to modern chord and song playing. From Suzuki and Bach to One Republic and Coldplay, you will find the type of piano lessons you are looking for. Popular areas of study include classical piano, ragtime piano, blues piano, boogie-woogie piano, jazz piano, gospel piano, country and western piano, and pop/rock piano.

Rock Band

These amazing lessons are for complete beginners to advanced students ages 8 and up. Divided up by age groups in either our PopStar or RockStar Class. Look on our group lessons page and take a Free Trial!

Anyone can be a RockStar!! From complete beginners to students who can already play. Try out different instruments, guitar, ukulele, drums, piano or vocals. Saxophone

Saxophone lessons at Stomp Music in Keller, TX will provide a well rounded foundation, whether you are wanting to prepare for middle school auditions, trying to make the high-school all-region band, play in a funk band with your friends, or just get a taste for it. Our teachers will work with you on proper breathing and tone generation, scales, theory, reading music, improvising, tonguing techniques, and more.

Semi-Private

Semi-Private Lessons are when 2 or 3 kids take a lesson at the same time. This is not a private lesson, but is a much smaller group than a group class. This is great for 2 siblings or friends that are similar in age and skill level and can learn at the same pace. We can do a Semi-Private lesson on any instrument.

Songwriting

Songwriting classes are designed to teach the fundamentals of song structure, music theory, tension and release concepts, how to write a hook/chorus, how to write a bridge, modulation and key change, nashville notation, intros/outros, melodic development, lyrical development, and more. The expertise of our songwriting instructors will help jump-start your songwriting career. You will be exposed to the songwriting industry first hand at Stomp Music Studios. You will also make vital connections in the DFW music industry if you choose to work hard and pursue a career in this field.

Trumpet

Trumpet lessons at Stomp Music Studios in Keller, TX includes learning proper tone production, finger positions, scales, reading, and breath control on trumpet. We prepare kids for the school band program, including getting a headstart on auditions, chair tests, working on UIL Solo and Ensemble music, All-State, concert preparation, and more. You will be exposed to a wide variety of trumpet music as well as learn discipline, intrinsic motivation, and increased musical self esteem. You will become proficient in music theory, history, and current music culture pertaining to trumpet. You will perform every semester in studio recitals in the Keller area. You will work with other students in the studio by playing duets, trios, and other chamber music. You will have opportunities to be involved in local trumpet and music events in Keller, Southlake, Roanoke, Fort Worth, and surrounding areas.

Ukelele

Ukelele is becoming insanely popular with the kids and young adults these days. It's a great instrument to start on because it only has 4 strings and they are nylon, which means it won't hurt your fingers. The chords are simple and easy to learn. It's a portable, affordable instrument that you can take with you anywhere you go, and you can play all the songs you love on a uke. We recommend starting in the Group Ukelele class to learn the fundamentals, and then adding on private uke lessons if you want to delve deeper into different styles of uke playing.

Viola

Like the violin, the viola is a great introduction to music for any age student. At Stomp Music, you will receive a traditional viola education mixed with modern techniques that make it fun and easy. The viola is slightly larger than the violin and is a lower pitched instrument (mid-range).

Voice (singing)

Whether you are a complete beginner or a professional singer, we provide vocal coaching and singing lessons for all ages and levels. We have teachers that specialize in jazz, classical, choir, popular music, musical theater, and more. In voice lessons, you will focus on breathing technique, projection, dynamics, sight-singing, pronunciation and dictation, vowel sounds, stage presence, microphone use, and more.

Voice and Piano

Voice and Piano is a combination lesson for kids who really want to learn how to play piano and sing. In Voice and Piano lessons, students will learn the piano skills necessary to play popular music that they want to sing. That includes chord theory, reading music, and piano technique. This is a modern style class and is a different approach to teaching piano than traditional piano lessons. The focus is more on learning to play and sing the songs you love, and learning the chords and theory behind those songs.

Policies:

We ask for 24hr notice on rescheduling a lesson if you have to miss. We also ask for 30 days notice to cancel lessons. Payment for lessons is made out to Stomp Music Studios at the beginning of the month to reserve your spot with your instructor. You may lose your lesson spot if you do not pay by the 4th of each month.
